Free Comic Book Day! Kid's Comics Workshop!

Image
Hey! I'll be running a comics creation workshop for kids at Gosh Comics! Come along on Free Comic Book Day (that's May 4th, but I bet you already knew that). I'll be running the session from 10am so bring your children and also some coffee for me. Come for the free comics, but stay to make your own! It's for ages 6-12 and I promise that it will be fun! Also, they should have copies of the Cor! Buster Humour special on sale. I wrote some comics for that, so you should buy that too! More details here: https://www.goshlondon.com/events/fdbdkids and I very much look forward to seeing you there N

Cor and Buster special

Hello! I have not one, but TWO comics in the upcoming Cor! Buster Humour Special! I'll let you know which comics I got to write when they are officially announced, but they were amazingly fun to write and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Doctor Who Choose Your Future Journal

Image
I wrote the Doctor Who Choose Your Future Journal, which you can pre-order here . It's a weekly journal which is full of key dates about inspirational women. It's a really lovely idea and I'm definitely giving one to my daughter. I really enjoyed writing it, and I'm glad that I included Rosa Parks even before I knew that there would be a (fantastic) episode about her!

Albert Einstein graphic novel biography

Image
I wrote a graphic novel biography of Albert Einstein, which was illustrated by Tom Humberstone. Tom is one of the best artists working in the UK at the moment, and you can see more of his work here . He's also lovely. You can preorder the graphic novel here and I'll hopefully do more more blogs about it before it is published in June. I'm really proud of this, it's going to look amazing! Einstein's theories work really well for a graphic novel because they are so visual - lightning hits trains, Einstein gets shot into space and lots of other fun things happen. Spoiler alert, something ends up equalling something else squared.

You can also still get the Star Wars 2018 Annual here , because it's still 2018, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. N

Comic book signing! Sat 5th May! Orbital Comics!

Image
Hey now! I've ALWAYS wanted to do a comic book signing, and on Sat 5th May I'm going to be doing just that! I'll be at one of my favourite comic shops, Orbital Comics* near Leicester Square tube station, signing copies of the 2000AD Regened Free Comic Book Day special. I'll be there from about 12, depending on how easily I can get away from my kids in the morning** More details here , but if you come along you will also get to meet Matt Smith, Alec Worley, Colin Bell, Pye Parr, Tanya Roberts, Keith Richardson, Indio, Neil Googe and Owen Michael Johnson. I would imagine that I will be in the pub*** afterwards. Thanks, love you**** N * It's only not my absolute top favourite because I used to work in Forbidden Planet and I met my wife there. ** Don't you dare judge me. *** I don't know which one. **** Was that too much? No, I think I got away with it.

Hey look, there's an interview with me!

Hello! I was lucky enough to be asked to write a story for the 2000AD Free Comic Book Day comic, which is an huge honour and is very exciting indeed! It's out in May, and it's free which is my favourite price. There's an interview with me and the other creators of the 2000AD Free Comic Book Day comic here : My favourite bit is when I was asked what the best bit of Free Comic Book Day is and I said "the free comics", which isn't a stupid answer no matter what you think. I'll be doing a signing in Orbital on the day, you should come along! N
